Jenna Fischer has become best known for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For this character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
She was born and raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was impressed by her mother's performance in church at the time she started her journey.
She's a trained actress who returned to the stage after The Office. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to be Happy. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the cast mate of Fischer) and her real life best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show is now extremely well-known and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life A Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood acting as a professional, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, which is a story of the greatest friendship they had as well as their experience watching The Office.
